Angela + Kevin: Treehouse Anniversary Portraits in Pepin, WI

Kevin + Angela celebrated their anniversary at the beautiful pepin treehouse in pepin, WI

The session was full of snuggles, sweetness, and winter wonderland snow, as these two celebrated 20 years together! I love couples sessions (obviously), but I particularly love celebrating anniversaries with couples. So many folks have no professional photos taken of them since their wedding day (and sometimes not even from that day), and so to get to celebrate a lasting bond between couples, and make sure they have beautiful pictures documenting their love and longevity, is such a privilege. Help me wish Angela + Kevin a big congratulations on 20 years!

Erika + Bryan: A Sweet Couple's Session at the Studio

Erika + Bryan’s portraits were so sweet and fun!

Erika shared with me that neither of them really like having their photos taken (I hear that a lot!), so I’m extra honored to be trusted with their portraits! We got to have some good laughs, got some beautiful photos, and next time around I’m encouraging bringing Bigfoot masks for the last few photos just to get weird with it! Enjoy the photos of this great couple!

Lena + Andrew: An Art Museum Engagement Session

The Chazen Art Museum was the perfect backdrop for Lena + Andrew’s engagement portraits

The soft, warm colors, the skylights and dark corners, the love artists put into their art mirroring the love these two have for each other… the whole session was absolutely beautiful and unique! Also peep the adorable “strike a pose” moment with my favorite sculpture at Chazen; the giant lounging hare! Enjoy the photos of this sweet engagement session, and congrats to Lena + Andrew!

Goodman Center TEENworks Senior Portraits

It’s no secret that I love the Goodman Community Center

So when I was asked to do senior portraits for their TEENworks program, of course the answer was yes! It was awesome getting to meet each of these seniors and hear about what’s coming next for them, and I loved how all of them had great ideas for their portraits, and spots that they wanted to make sure to be photographed in around the Goodman Community Centers two buildings. The teens were real troopers about how incredibly hot it was that day too! Thanks to Goodman Community Center and all of the teens who got their portraits taken for having me celebrate the next step of your journey with you!

Iris' Newborn Portraits

Iris’ newborn portraits were cozy and christmas-y!

Cara + Richard, Iris’ parents, welcomed Iris home in late December, and we had newborn portraits just after Christmas, so the house was decked out in all it’s Yuletide glory! We got to have a laid back, cozy newborn portrait session, with all three family members dressed in hand-knit sweaters. Even the dogs got to get their photos taken! (Hi Melba & Bundy!). Enjoy these sweet family moments, and welcome to the world, Iris!

Korben + Storm: A Surprise Double Proposal!

Not just one proposal, but two proposals, at this beautiful surprise engagement session!

When Korben reached out to plan his surprise proposal to Storm, and explained that he had made a choose your own adventure scavenger hunt, ending with a proposal at the Wisconsin State Capitol Building (even hand-making 4 different rings for Storm to choose from in true choose-your-own-adventure style), I was so excited to celebrate with these two, but after Korben’s proposal (Storm said yes!) Storm had a surprise of his own for Korben, which was proposing inside the Capitol Building! Friends and family all helped this proposal go smoothly and a few were even there to cheer the couple on! This was such a joyful and beautiful (if insanely cold) day and I am so happy for these two! Help me wish Korben + Storm a BIG congratulations!

Alex + David: A Late Fall Engagement Session

David + Alex (and their adorable puppies) had a beautiful late fall engagement session!

It was cold as heck, so we split our time between Picnic Point with the dogs and the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art (sadly no puppies allowed there) and were able to beat the cold quite well and get some beautiful photos to celebrate their engagement! Help me wish a big congratulations to these two, and we can’t wait for their wedding next year!

Cozy Family Portraits At Home

Sean, Jenny, Ava, and the puppies had a cozy family portrait session at home

The lovely thing about having portraits at home is that you’re in the place that’s most comfortable (and if you have any animals, they’re in a familiar environment), AND you have all the outfit change options you could possibly need! I love how these sweet family photos turned out, and I particularly love those adorable matching Christmas PJs! Enjoy these family photos, and consider doing your next session at home!

Family Portraits at the Studio

We love co-parenting wins!

This family is made up of ex-spouses and their two kiddos, Leo & Adam, and being a person who runs a business and co-parents with my ex-spouse, I’m always so happy to see co-parenting situations where folks are putting the kids first and still working in positive family experiences, like these adorable family portraits with both of the kids’ moms! Enjoy these sweet and fun photos, taken in our studio on Madison’s East side!

Cara + Richard's Maternity Portraits at Pope Farm Conservancy

For Cara + Richard’s maternity portraits, we decided to head back to where they had their couples portraits for their wedding

Pope Farm Conservancy is absolutely gorgeous all year round, even with the leaves off the trees, and was a beautiful spot to celebrate the upcoming addition to their family! I can’t wait to meet their little one in a few weeks! Help me wish these two a big congratulations and enjoy the photos!

Ca's Picnic Point Senior Portrait Session

Cal picked the perfect spot for his senior portrait session!

The Picnic Point path was brilliantly Fall-colored when we arrive for Senior portraits, and despite the chill, we got so lucky with how gorgeous it was, and had a lovely time chatting as we walked around to different photo locations! I am so excited for whatever comes next for this wonderful young man. Help me wish Cal a big congrats on the next part of his journey in life, and enjoy the photos!
