Fall Family Portraits at the Epic Campus

Epic was the perfect setting for these family portraits!

Sean, Jenny, and Ava (along with their two pups Maggie and Bernie) were troopers with the drizzle and wind that happened during their family portraits, but holy smokes did these turn out pretty! Epic was a beautiful backdrop for these family portraits, and I am always pumped to get to pet more dogs, so this was literally a perfect session even with the weather being temperamental! Enjoy the photos of this sweet family!

Family Portraits at Thousand Oaks Park

Family portraits aren’t only for families with young children

Family portraits are an awesome idea for all families! Claire (and her adorable rescue pup Jojo) invited her parents and sister to take family portraits while they were all in town visiting, and I love how these golden hour family photos turned out!

Daliah + Jakob: A Delightful Early Fall Engagement Session at Pope Farm Conservancy

We may not have fall colors yet, but we definitely had cozy vibes for this fall engagement session

Daliah (she/they) and Jakob (he/his) were such a joy to work with! I mean, just look at those smiles! We made the best of the unseasonably warm October weather and lack of fall colors, but still managed to get that beautiful golden hour light and cozy vibes that I love in engagement photos! We can’t wait to celebrate with them for their wedding next year!

Mushroom's Senior Portraits at the UW Arboretum

This young adult has the best style

And the best taste in X-men characters! (I’m in agreement with Mushroom that Dazzler doesn’t get nearly enough love) It was such a joy to get to talk with them and their mom and grandma during their portrait session! Good luck with senior year, Mushroom!

Marcus' Senior Portraits at Tenney Park

Tenney Park was a gorgeous setting for Marcus’ senior portraits!

I love hearing from seniors what their plans are for post-graduation (while keeping in mind that it’s actually not realistic for a 17 or 18 year old to have figured it all out by that time lol), but it’s always interesting to me where young adults see themselves headed, and when Marcus told me that he was interested in studying political science, I loved how much that meshed with his vibe for his portraits (down to the tie even)!

Help me wish Marcus good luck on his journey into senior year and all he’ll accomplish after!

Family Portraits at Home

This beautiful family wanted family portraits taken before their oldest returns to college

And since family portraits aren’t just for when your kids are little, before one or more kids return to college is the perfect time to get some updated family photos! I love that this family also got to celebrate 10 years in their current house!

Enjoy these sweet family photos!

Sierra's Senior Portraits at the UW Arboretum

The UW Arboretum was a beautiful setting for Sierra’s senior portraits

I was fortunate enough to get to take Sierra’s senior portraits at the UW Arboretum during some truly spectacular golden hour light, on the eve of a particularly gorgeous full moon, and it was as magical as it was buggy! I think the mosquito bites were worth it though. Enjoy the pics, and help me wish Sierra a big congrats on embarking on her senior year of high-school!

Extended Family Portraits At Home

It was so lovely to see this extended family again!

While I often take family portraits for couples whose weddings we’ve photographed, it’s actually not often that I get to see the whole extended family again! I was fortunate enough to get to photograph these Sunaina + Kyle’s families again just this past week, along with Sunaina + Kyle’s kiddos, Ryan, Ava, and Alex, at their new house! It was great to get to see everyone again, and spend time with the kiddos, who were excellent helpers! Enjoy these sweet extended family photos!

An Extended Family Portrait Session at the UW Arboretum

i had an amazing time photographing this beautiful extended family

And as you can see from the pictures, the lighting and weather were absolutely PERFECT! I’ve been photographing this family for a decade (which is wild), ever since my own son was only 6, and some of the younger members of this family were still teens. Now as the extended family continues to grow and those former teens now have families of their own, I am feeling so amazingly honored to be able to capture their joy over the years! Enjoy the pics of this awesome family (and their adorable little kiddos)!

Rayla's Newborn Portraits at the UW Arboretum

Rayla and her mom and dad had a beautiful golden hour family photo session at the UW Arboretum

This session made me tear up as I was editing (sure, it was in part because I’m a crier, but it’s also because I’ve known Erik & Maria, Rayla’s parents, for forever, and am SO FREAKING HAPPY for them and their new little family)! The light was everything we could have hoped for as we captured these beautiful family moments too, which I’m thrilled about!

Welcome to Earth, Rayla! You couldn’t have sweeter or more wonderful parents! Enjoy these adorable family photos, friends!

Family Portraits at the UW Arboretum

Cam, Freya, and their parents had a lovely family portrait session on a hot spring day at the arboretum

I was a little worried the weather was going to turn south but the day turned out so beautifully! Cam was an adorable little ham, and Freya just was not sure about me until we started blowing raspberries (which like, fair enough) and then we got on swimmingly! It is one of the honors of my life to document family moments for couples whose weddings we’ve photographed, and it was so fun to see Cam again and get to meet little Freya!

Enjoy these sweet family moments!
