Cozy Family Portraits At Home

Sean, Jenny, Ava, and the puppies had a cozy family portrait session at home

The lovely thing about having portraits at home is that you’re in the place that’s most comfortable (and if you have any animals, they’re in a familiar environment), AND you have all the outfit change options you could possibly need! I love how these sweet family photos turned out, and I particularly love those adorable matching Christmas PJs! Enjoy these family photos, and consider doing your next session at home!

Family Portraits at the Studio

We love co-parenting wins!

This family is made up of ex-spouses and their two kiddos, Leo & Adam, and being a person who runs a business and co-parents with my ex-spouse, I’m always so happy to see co-parenting situations where folks are putting the kids first and still working in positive family experiences, like these adorable family portraits with both of the kids’ moms! Enjoy these sweet and fun photos, taken in our studio on Madison’s East side!

Cara + Richard's Maternity Portraits at Pope Farm Conservancy

For Cara + Richard’s maternity portraits, we decided to head back to where they had their couples portraits for their wedding

Pope Farm Conservancy is absolutely gorgeous all year round, even with the leaves off the trees, and was a beautiful spot to celebrate the upcoming addition to their family! I can’t wait to meet their little one in a few weeks! Help me wish these two a big congratulations and enjoy the photos!

Ca's Picnic Point Senior Portrait Session

Cal picked the perfect spot for his senior portrait session!

The Picnic Point path was brilliantly Fall-colored when we arrive for Senior portraits, and despite the chill, we got so lucky with how gorgeous it was, and had a lovely time chatting as we walked around to different photo locations! I am so excited for whatever comes next for this wonderful young man. Help me wish Cal a big congrats on the next part of his journey in life, and enjoy the photos!

Eveylyn + Jeremy's Lapham Lodge Wedding

Jeremy + Evelyn met in college and bonded over their shared love of board games

I love a good board game myself, so this little detail seems extra special and sweet to me! These two had a beautiful and laid-back wedding day at Lapham Lounge in Kettle Moraine State Forest, and despite the weather threatening us all morning and early afternoon, the ceremony was able to take place outdoors and it the deliciously overcast sky went perfectly with the moody Fall vibes of the nature surrounding Lapham Lodge.

Help me wish these two a BIG congratulations, and enjoy the photos of their gorgeous wedding day!

Isaac's Senior Portraits

willy street was a perfect backdrop for senior portraits for this young artist

Isaac is a talented artist, looking forward to heading into art school after he finishes up high school, so Willy Street, with it’s brightly colored murals and unique buildings, plus easy access to the beautiful Lake Monona, was the perfect setting for his senior portraits! Good luck to Isaac with the rest of senior year and more importantly, the next step of his journey!

Welcome to the world, Calvin!

Calvin’s newborn portraits were well-attended by his adoring fans (his parents, their parents, and his uncles on both sides) and I LOVE working extended family into baby portraits and getting to share the magic of welcoming a kiddo into the world. Enjoy these sweet family photos and help me wish Calvin a big welcome to planet Earth!

Alysse + Sam: A Beautiful Fall Wedding At Olbrich Botanical Gardens

These two had a fun and colorful wedding with lots of cute and nerdy details that we loved!

They’re also a dating app success story! The very first date, Sam made Alysse dinner, and absolutely knocked it out of the park with some chocolate chip cookies too, and by the third date, they were snuggling up and watching How to Train Your Dragon and making things official.

We loved the small nods to fandoms like Zelda, How to Train Your Dragon, etc., and you KNOW we love non-traditional wedding dresses and wedding capes! The whole wedding day was absolutely gorgeous, fun, and filled with joy, and we’re so happy to have been able to celebrate with Sam + Alysse! Help us wish these two a BIG congrats, and enjoy the photos of their wedding day!

Colorful Family Portraits on Willy Street

Alex + Kayleigh were had all kinds of adventures on our walk down willy street

And we got to enjoy some of the awesome buildings and murals that Willy street has to offer as we stopped different places to take family portraits! These two are the sweetest, goofiest kiddos on the planet (except for possibly my own) and Kim + Peter definitely have their hands full, but I LOVE how fun and colorful these photos are, and how much they show off the kids’ personalities! Enjoy these fun and colorful family portraits!

Ronan's Senior Portraits on Madison's North Side

Never underestimate the portrait potential of cool buildings

Ronan found this gem of a building on Madison’s North Side and knew this is where he wanted to do his portraits. The ivy, the building itself, and the surrounding trees were perfect! Enjoy these fun senior portraits and next time you’re driving down Sherman Avenue, see if you can spot which building we used!
