I love a good board game myself, so this little detail seems extra special and sweet to me! These two had a beautiful and laid-back wedding day at Lapham Lounge in Kettle Moraine State Forest, and despite the weather threatening us all morning and early afternoon, the ceremony was able to take place outdoors and it the deliciously overcast sky went perfectly with the moody Fall vibes of the nature surrounding Lapham Lodge.
Help me wish these two a BIG congratulations, and enjoy the photos of their gorgeous wedding day!

Isaac is a talented artist, looking forward to heading into art school after he finishes up high school, so Willy Street, with it’s brightly colored murals and unique buildings, plus easy access to the beautiful Lake Monona, was the perfect setting for his senior portraits! Good luck to Isaac with the rest of senior year and more importantly, the next step of his journey!

This is Charlie’s first family portrait session since he was welcomed to the family, and we couldn’t have gotten luckier with the gorgeous weather and beauty of the Arboretum! Enjoy these sweet family photos!

Calvin’s newborn portraits were well-attended by his adoring fans (his parents, their parents, and his uncles on both sides) and I LOVE working extended family into baby portraits and getting to share the magic of welcoming a kiddo into the world. Enjoy these sweet family photos and help me wish Calvin a big welcome to planet Earth!

They’re also a dating app success story! The very first date, Sam made Alysse dinner, and absolutely knocked it out of the park with some chocolate chip cookies too, and by the third date, they were snuggling up and watching How to Train Your Dragon and making things official.
We loved the small nods to fandoms like Zelda, How to Train Your Dragon, etc., and you KNOW we love non-traditional wedding dresses and wedding capes! The whole wedding day was absolutely gorgeous, fun, and filled with joy, and we’re so happy to have been able to celebrate with Sam + Alysse! Help us wish these two a BIG congrats, and enjoy the photos of their wedding day!

And we got to enjoy some of the awesome buildings and murals that Willy street has to offer as we stopped different places to take family portraits! These two are the sweetest, goofiest kiddos on the planet (except for possibly my own) and Kim + Peter definitely have their hands full, but I LOVE how fun and colorful these photos are, and how much they show off the kids’ personalities! Enjoy these fun and colorful family portraits!

Ronan found this gem of a building on Madison’s North Side and knew this is where he wanted to do his portraits. The ivy, the building itself, and the surrounding trees were perfect! Enjoy these fun senior portraits and next time you’re driving down Sherman Avenue, see if you can spot which building we used!

Despite the fact that the mosquitoes were still out and about (in mid-October, what the heck?!), everyone got to enjoy how lovely the sunshine and cool air felt while we walked around taking photos at the Arboretum, and we even got to see a deer passing by before it went on its way! Enjoy the photos of this sweet family having some Fall fun!

Emily + Patrick (who you might remember from such weddings as this one) and their little guy, Hugo, enjoyed the gorgeous surroundings of the UW Arboretum for their Fall family portraits! Enjoy the photos of this sweet little family!
—Sam
And I feel like around Madison at least, there are few places that embody the beauty of Wisconsin than the UW Arboretum in Fall! Despite the Fall colors not being out in full force yet (such strange weather we’ve had this Fall so far!), the golden hour light lit everything up with a beautiful glow, including these two love birds. We could not have asked for a more perfect setting or weather!
Help me wish Mariela + James a BIG congratulations on their engagement, and enjoy the beautiful photos!

One of my favorite things ever is getting to watch the families of my wedding clients grow and getting to document their little ones along the way, so with Lily + Aaron (check out their wedding photos here) welcoming their third kiddo into the world, it was great to be able celebrate Rhys’ birth and get lots of photos of the other two kiddos, Rylan & Remy, along the way!
Help me wish this whole family a BIG congrats on the latest addition, and welcome to the world, Rhys!
